Road Trip to San Fransisco, 1978, part one

It was 1978. My friend Terry and I drove in my rattletrap Datsun truck from Vancouver to San Francisco. We'd stop at beaches along the way for a rest then carry on driving non-stop. We arrived in the outskirts of San Fran, weary but full of excitement. I was deeply fascinated by San Francisco architecture, not to mention the gay culture of the Castro area at that time. The AIDS plague was yet to descend. From today's viewpoint, it seems a more innocent time.
