Greenpeace Clearcut

Greenpeace hired me to illustrate an article they wanted to publish regarding the damage done to streams and rivers by wanton clearcutting practices. After working on a planting crew for MacBlo one spring I knew what a fresh clear cut looked like and did a couple of drafts. They seemed to like these, but then the project was shelved. (Or maybe they changed their minds about what kind of illustration they wanted). They paid me for the work done up to that point anyway, and rather generously too, considering that none of it was in a finished state. That was one thing I always liked about left wing publications – they were fair about payment.
