The Last Time I Saw Grandma, part 1
I started drawing stories (as an adult) in 2005. This one was about visiting Grandma after she went into a care home in Swift Current. At age 94, her fine mind and memory had finally failed her – she didn't really know who I was – but she still retained her wry wit and was aware of where she was. Where she was was the top floor of Palliser hospital, the floor where the no-hopers were put. She didn't seem angry about anything, she just accepted her lot at the hospital without complaining.
