Dragon Boat World Championships

This was the warmup jacket design I did for the False Creek Women's Dragon Boat team in 1999 when they went to the world championships in London. I got the idea for the dragon on the front from a Chinese tapestry that was in a museum. I did a line drawing that was blown up to fit on the left front panel, with a partial maple leaf on the right side. I just did the text on the back of the jacket – someone else had done the maple leaf/paddle logo years before (it was one of the club logos). Sugoi in Vancouver made these garments. They were actually cycling jackets but they worked well for the paddlers.
