Liz, trying to figure out which plug went where in the recording device.
Because a lot of the B&W photos in this blog are reproduced from negatives hastily scanned one summer at work, many have flaws such as dust, scratches, hairs etc. You don't see these until they appear, glaringly, when blown up. I can (and do) correct most of them in Photoshop but some are beyond my ability to fix. The negative for this one got bent putting it in the slide scanner tray and no amount of smudging, dodging, or burning worked so I've left it as is. Sometimes the fix looks worse than the the flaw!
I took this from across the room with my favorite 135 mm lens.
