The Author

My mom wanted to be a writer and even went so far as to buy a bunch of Harlequin romances, study their structure (which meant she had to actually read that crap) and then proceed to write her own romance novel. (I tell you, Faithful Readers, you don't know the MEANING of embarrassment until you read a sex scene your MOTHER has written). She got as far as a few chapters. In retrospect, it wasn't any worse, really, than any of the other romance novels.
What she was good at, however, was humor. Erma Bombeck was her favourite author. I drew this to make her laugh.
