Southampton Garden

This is another one of those pleasing accidents that can happen with photography. The camera I use – Lumix 2550 – is limited in how you can adjust the exposure. Many shots are overexposed to a degree I don't like so I have to do a work around: point the lens at something light, depress the shutter half way and then return to the shot you wanted. Because the camera is still thinking 'too much light' it will darken the shot you are taking. Below is an accident, I 'set' the exposure with very bright sky. The result looks like a painting of this little Southampton flower garden.
