QuadraTails, Part Three

After an exhaustive poll of faithful readers inquiring should I continue with the last two chapters of QuadraTails or take a break with something else for a few days, I will continue the tail. Er, tale. [OK, it was just one Faithful Reader but since she had never heard of let alone set foot in the fabled Quadra and was still game, that decided things].

The Central was  one of several men's or mixed bars in Vancouver in the late 70s and early 80s. There was also the GandyDancer, the Castle, the Dufferin, the Vanport, Murtz', the Shaggy Horse, Faces, BJs, Numbers, Fresgo Inn (which also served food, good luck getting anything to eat anywhere else), Denman Station and the Playpen South.   All admitted women (although we were once refused entry to the Shaggy) except for the Playpen which you definitely did NOT want to go in, anyway. There were no doubt more I never knew about – they tended to come and go – and only Numbers still exists.
