Picasso, part 2

The following week Martin had us make a grid – a series of horizontal and perpendicular lines, with a ratio of 1:2. (Don't ask this math-challenged person to explain that any further) Then we were to make a second drawing, with elements falling into their place on the grid. We could change the style, and use any medium we liked so I chose pencil crayon and ink, on watercolour paper. I'm not sure what this was supposed to teach us other than patience.
