Merry Christmas 2003

Remember Siegfried & Roy? For those of you who pay no attention to over the top spectacles, S & R were a Las Vegas act that featured mostly white tigers, with a few lions and regular tigers thrown in for variety. This was the year Roy had a stroke during a performance and was dragged offstage by Mantecore, one of the show's largest white tigers. (that was the tiger's name for those of you who want an advantage in the next Trivia contest) There was an immediate outcry to have the animal killed but Siegfried demanded that the big cat be spared. Mantecore lived until 2014.
