Kudu

This was taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7, not a powerful camera by any means but I got a surprising number of decent telephoto shots out of it. This beautiful animal was not that far away from our truck so I was able to capture him when he lifted his head. Kudus were fairly common throughout the areas we travelled and are not threatened as a species (yet, that is) Their meat is available at some restaurants or in dried form at gift shops. No I did not eat any!

And of course, there were elephants here too. This big boy was right next to our truck, no need for a telephoto.
