Just for Fun

Circa 80s (?) Felt pen, rapidograph pen & india ink. I found this wedged in the back of a file cabinet. It was drawn on heavy weight tracing paper – I loved using felt pen on tracing paper because there was no bleed, and the surface was so lovely and smooth. But not the best for longevity of the drawing because the paper was so fragile. I was surprised to see that this ancient drawing was unfinished – one half of the blue collar was not coloured in. So I finished the colouring with the SAME felt pen I used so long ago – Pantone Blue 072-T by Letraset. (Anybody remember Letraset?)

And here's the pen. This pen has to be at least 35 years old. And the damn thing still works!! I don't think you'd get a pen that lasts like that these days. Makes you wonder what chemicals they were putting in there . . .
