Grant

Grant lived in #501 at the Banffshire. When he moved out of town, I wanted his (bigger) apartment so we cooked up a plan in which I would give notice for #202 where I was living, then I'd move into his space without telling the caretaker, and we'd pay the rent with a byzantine system of post-dated cheques back and forth. You could get away with nonsense like that back then. Eventually I just started paying the rent in my own name and the caretaker couldn't be bothered to make a fuss. Grant was our resident technical authority on photography. A gifted photographer himself, he was our go-to guy for advice on what developer went best with what film and so on. I still can't believe the amount of effort we went to in order to make a photo. This is Grant in the hallway of #202 and in his livingroom in #501.
