Girl and Carnation

Taken in Seattle circa 1976. This is one of those photos that would have been wonderful in colour – the car was black, the surrounding area was dull grey, the girl's hair was black and the carnation was a standout brilliant red that drew the eye. The car was parked and about to pull away when I asked to take a snap. She graciously obliged and then they drove away.
