Gary and Robin

Gary and Robin were two friends who lived in the same block as me on Jervis Street in the late 70s and early 80s. (different apartments, they weren't lovers) Both men were intensely beautiful, Gary in a pensive Italian way and Robin dramatically flamboyant. Robin was a dream to photograph – he was unabashedly vain and loved to pose. Gary didn't really like being photographed but he learned to put up with me. I always liked this shot of Gary with the shadow behind him.
