Costume Night
Ah! Now I remember . . . Tessa, Terry and I were going to the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the old Ridge Theatre on Arbutus. The Ridge, as it was affectionately called, was known for screening everything from high-art films to low-brow animation festivals. Built in 1950, it livened up Arbutus Street until 2013, when it shut its doors for good. Like so many theatres, the Ridge was unable to compete with things like Netflix, plus it sat on prime condo development land.
Terry wore my English riding helmet, carried a fox pelt and cried "Yoiks! Gone Away!!" all night.

That's my grandfather's tux!!
