Commercial Hotel

The Commercial Hotel in Edmonton was built in 1913 as an investment property. It has a rich history, serving as a hotel, a tavern, and even housed the Westminster Ladies College at one time. After prohibition, it reverted for use as a hotel. Today, it is known as "The Commie", featuring a 1920s style beer parlour and hosting live music. It's considered Edmonton's original 'dive bar'.
