Canadian Outrigger

Most of the sports clothing I designed were for dragon boat or outrigger teams with which I was associated. This was one of the first uniforms that the senior women's outrigger team had me do. They wanted three stripes (a bit of an Adidas copy but that's what they wanted) I found a maple leaf in a park and roughed it up a bit, then took a high contrast shot of it with the line camera, then did the circular text with letraset ["Adlib" font for you ex-printers] and assembled the three components in a layout. I wanted to use the leaf with "Canadian, Eh?" on the upper back but the team didn't have enough money to silkscreen both sides so that didn't get used. (Darn, I thought it was pretty clever). The shirt looks grey here but it was actually black when new. My payment for any of these designs was one of the uniforms for myself, in my size.
