Árboles y mais

I wanted to ride in Costa Rica so we found a stable up the road from our hotel that rented horses. This was my young guide who spoke no English and since I spoke no Spanish, he decided I should learn the names of whatever we were riding past. So below would be 'árboles' and 'mais'. He was uncomfortable having his photo taken – the cropping here is deliberate so he'd think I was taking a picture of the landscape.
(For you sharp-eyed horse aficionados, the style in that part of the world was to completely shave the mane and forelock)
