Banffshire sketches
Circa 1978 Since I was the only one at the Banffshire who owned a TV, the boys would often come over to watch this or that. They'd be watching whatever they'd selected and I'd sometimes draw them while they weren't noticing.
I've always found drawing faces to be a challenge and often wound up cutting them off, but the poses that remain are eerily familiar, even after all these years. For instance, Stephen never just sat in a chair, he'd pretzel himself into this or that position, or abandon the chair entirely and sprawl on the floor. The clothes and bits of furniture also bring back memories from that time. [BTW, Gary was never fat. Artistic perspective].
